Artificial intelligence to reveal data-generation process and monitor health status of complex systems
Overview
At the Yairi and Takeishi Laboratory in the field of Intelligent Systems Engineering, we conduct foundational research in machine learning and artificial intelligence, including dimensionality reduction, generative modeling, and learning of dynamic systems. We also explore applications in aerospace engineering, robotics, and system health management.
On the theoretical side, we develop algorithms to uncover essential latent spaces and dynamics from data. On the applied side, we work on anomaly detection techniques for monitoring the health of systems such as satellites and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs/drones), as well as methods for environmental perception and self-localization in probes and robots.
For this event, we will partially unveil our in-development experimental platform for drone health monitoring.
