Animal linguistics

Overview

What do animals think and talk about? Our laboratory explores what kind of information birds and mammals communicate through their calls and gestures through field observations and cognitive experiments. In this talk, we will introduce our research on the titmice, which led to the creation of the field of animal linguistics, and introduce a new discipline (animal linguistics) that unravels the world of animal speech.
