The amazing world of insect olfaction!
Overview
Insects possess an extraordinary sense of smell, allowing them to detect a wide range of environmental cues. Our research aims to harness this ability by developing odor-detection sensors and robots based on insect olfaction, with the goal of implementing them in real-world applications.
We also seek to understand the tiny brains inside insect heads by combining behavioral science, neurobiology, and genetic engineering. By reconstructing these neural systems using supercomputers, we are advancing our understanding of biological intelligence.
This exhibition will introduce our work through engaging displays that showcase these cutting-edge studies.
