Overview

Precision machining is the foundation of almost all scientific technology. We develop advanced machining processes that allow us to machine optical components with atomic resolution. Mirrors with special shapes are being incorporated into various devices, helping to unravel the mysteries of solar flares and revealing the intricate internal structures of cells. We are also working to understand the underlying principles of materials processing using high-speed X-ray imaging.
