Artificial intelligence for revealing data generating mechanisms and monitoring health status of systems

Overview

Yairi laboratory (Artificial Intelligence) is conducting fundamental studies on machine learning / artificial intelligence including dimensionality reduction and learning dynamical systems, and applied studies on aerospace engineering, robotics and prognostics and health management. In the former studies, we are especially interested in developing algorithms to find the intrinsic latent space and the dynamics structure from a vast amount of high-dimensional time-series data. In the latter studies, we are developing anomaly detection methods for large-scale complexed systems including artificial satellites, and environment recognition and localization methods for mobile robots and spacecrafts.
